Ducharme-Jones new album 'lumina' out now!

DES MOINES, IA - Des Moines based singer-songwriters release fourth, original, studio album ‘lumina’

Ducharme-Jones features co-writers Dave and Anne Ducharme-Jones, Iowa natives who lived in San Francisco and Austin for many years before finding their way back to the Midwest.

The title on the latest collection of songs, ‘lumina’ is derived from Latin meaning ‘light’ or ‘brightness’ and not just physical light but also metaphorical illumination. For the songwriting duo Dave & Anne Ducharme-Jones, music is the light that shines brightest for them. ‘Lumina’ is their fourth studio album of originals to carry shared billing, a partnership that a began long before their first recorded album together in 2016. 

This new collection of songs represents the couples close working relationship and shared history as artists and partners known as much for their commitment to their music as for their connection to one another.

Many of Ducharme-Jones songs are heart-felt recollections of times spent together pursuing their dreams and the search for satisfaction in their artistic process. Their songwriting is lyrical and compelling, featuring warm harmonies and melodic guitar. Live performances with their full band are dynamic, engaging and feature talent from the Des Moines area known for their musicality.

Dave Ducharme- Jones leads the band (guitar, vocals) with Anne Ducharme-Jones (rhythm guitar, vocals), Ben Mars (bass guitar, background vocals) and Jim Stevens (drums, percussion, background vocals).

Beyond their studio recordings, Dave and Anne co-produce a weekly series with Russ Tomlinson: Monday Night Live at xBk Live, featuring a house band and guest artists from the Iowa music scene and beyond. 

The duo are also the driving forces behind the beloved, community driven festival Porchfest Des Moines, a walking musical experience in the Union Park neighborhood where local artists play original music from porches.
